Provincial & National Cycle Lab MTB School Races

On Saturday (21.09.24) the Provincial School Race & on Sunday (22.09.24), the National School Race was held at Wagpos one of the coldest races as far this past few years of school cycling.

All 5 our club’s juniors made the NW Team, and we are very proud of their efforts and achievements.

Elruschka Coetzer did well on Saturday in her age category 0/15-u/16, but unfortunately on Sunday she fell and hit her head, therefore she fell out of the race.

On 21.09.24 Tamlyn Luyt ended in 12th in her age category u/18 & u/19 Cycle Lab MTB Provincial Final. On 22.09.24, Tamlyn had a crash in one of her laps but still managed to get back in the race and finished 12th out of 24 in her age category in the National School Race representing North West and and will receiving her North West School Colours for School MTB.
On 21.09.24 Tamlyn Luyt ended in 12th in her age category u/18 & u/19 Cycle Lab MTB Provincial Final.

On 21.09.24 Danie du Plooy ended 44th out of 53 in his age category u/18-u/19 Cycle Lab MTB Provincial Final On 22.09.24 Danie came out of 43rd out of 57 in his age category u/16 in the Cycle Lab MRB National School Final and he will receive his North West School Colours for School MTB

On 21.09.24 Ruan Espach ended 40th out of 64 in his age category u/16 Cycle Lab MTB Provincial Final On 22.09.24, Ruan came 44th out of 73 in his age category u/16 in the Cycle Lab MRB National School Final and will be receiving his North West School Colours for School MTB
