The Tour de Pilanesburg was held this weekend (26-27 October 24) organized by Perry Dell of the Pilanesberg Wildlife Trust. All funds raised go towards rhino conservation and anti-poaching efforts. Amashova National Classic Race – Amashova On 20 October 24, the Rustenburg Cycling Club Members participated in the Amashova National Classic Race. The oldest Road Classic cyclist race in South Africa, which made the day more difficult with cold, rain and wind.
Gaan Wild MTB Race
On Saturday (12.10.24) was the Gaan Wild MTB Race held in Potchefstroom, it was the NW Marathon MTB Championship. Rustenburg Cycling Club is very proud of our 3 club members who participated in the NW Marathon MTB Championship!
MTB Gravel Grinder 2024 – Vorentoe Fees
Danie du Plooy participated in the MTB Gravel Grinder on 05.10.24. Congratulations Danie for getting First Place out of 74 participants in 40km with a time of 01:31.
Provincial & National Cycle Lab MTB School Races
On Saturday (21.09.24) the Provincial School Race & on Sunday (22.09.24), the National School Race was held at Wagpos one of the coldest races as far this past few years of school cycling. All 5 our club’s juniors made the NW Team, and we are very proud of their efforts and achievements.
Karoo 2 Coast
On Saturday 21 September 24, Hennie Fourie participated in the Karoo2Coast Race. He is one of the Rustenburg Cycling Club Founders and still loves to participate in races and representing the Rustenburg Cycling Club. Well done Oom Hennie with your 11th Karoo2Coast Race.
