The club was established in 2004 with the idea to create a social cycling club focused on safety and fun and accommodating all levels of cyclist, road and mountain bike.
Our members are known as the “Greenies”, due
to our Green and Blue Land Rover shirts, and are noticed all over the country and races due to our club colours and spirit.
We have a loyal and active membership base,
with individuals who thrive within our like-minded supportive club. Our competitiveness shines throughout the year with the best cyclist achieving honours at our Annual AGM and Year End function where the “Club Champion” is announced for both male and female.
Our Vision is to be the cycling club of choice within Rustenburg, by promoting safe, organized, structured club rides for all levels of cyclists. We aim to bring the FUN back into cycling by focusing on our club members as the number one priority.
The mission of Rustenburg cycling club is to provide
a social cycling club with a positive club spirit, which enables its members and guests to enjoy organized club rides in a friendly atmosphere. It endeavours to promote cycling as a safe and healthy leisure activity, with a club spirit. We seek to promote the club as a community organisation through participation in local cycling events and holding non-riding social events where appropriate.
