The inaugural Rustenburg Cycling Club “Fun” XCO Time Trial was held at Bergheim Trails on Friday the 29th of January. Despite the heavy rain leading into Friday and on the morning of the day, 27 riders braved the course and were richly rewarded with great conditions. The idea behind the initiative is to get more people riding the beautiful trails of Bergheims, while at the same time improving their personal fitness and skill level.
The top 3 men’s times were: Darryl Thompson – 00:15:51, Henk Dippenaar – 00:16:06 and Jon Andrews – 00:16:11.
The top 3 female times were: Caitlin Thompson – 00:16:01. Tamlyn Luyt – 00:19:40 and Tracey Andrews – 00:22:08.
The next event is provisionally scheduled for Friday, 26 February at 16:00.
